Geely has just proved that its tiny electric hatchback is popular not only in its home market, but also in key markets around the world.
After first launching the EX2 two years ago, Geely has rolled off the 1-millionth unit of the tiny EV hatchback. This is an impressive feat given that Geely first revealed the EX2 back in October 2024.
The brand first achieved its 200,000 production milestone for the EX2 in May 2025. It was then followed up by 600,000 units built in March 2026. Then in August 2026, Geely achieved 800,000 EX2 units, before hitting the 1 million production milestone earlier this month.
According to Geely, the EX2 (AKA the Xingyuan) sells at an average of one unit per minute. That means it’s still one of the brand’s most popular models and competes directly against the likes of the BYD.
With the Geely EX2 achieving its 1-millionth production milestone, we can expect more EX2 units to arrive across global market in future.
